I have a friend that lives in Longmont, Colorado. It's a beautiful little city that's really close to Boulder and not far from the metro Denver area. Not only is it picturesque and quaint, it where most of the people have work in Boulder live. Lots of high-tech employers like IBM, Storage Tech, Seagate, Maxtor and Ball Aerospace have people living in Longmont Colorado and driving into Boulder.
